The Fund can accommodate a maximum of 70 people in its premises at any one time.
Our rooms are available from Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm weekdays. We cannot allow anyone in before 9 am, therefore we advise that meetings should not start before 9.30 am.
Rooms that can be made available to outside organisations are as follows:
Conference Room (33 ft x 21 ft) with seating for about 70. This room can be used for plenary conferences, or can be cleared of chairs for use for Receptions. Users may lay the room out in theatre or boardroom style, but unfortunately it is not possible to arrange the room ‘cabaret' style. Room 113 on floor plan.
Meeting Room 3 (24 ft x 13 ft) seats 16 people around a table. It has a door which connects with the Conference Room. Like the Conference Room, Meeting Room 3 looks inwards to a courtyard within County Hall. Room 112 on floor plan.
Meeting Room 2 (22 ft x 24 ft) is a panelled room overlooking the River and is used by the Fund as its Board Room. It can comfortably seat meetings of 16 people around a table. It can also be used for small Receptions. Room 109 on floor plan.
Meeting Room 1 (22 ft x 9 ft) overlooks the river and seats 10 around a table. Room 108 on floor plan.
Each room is provided with a whiteboard and pens. A flipchart pad may be attached to the whiteboard, but please note that the Fund does not provide the paper. Users are requested to provide (and take away for recycling) any flipchart paper they use. There are notice boards in meetings rooms1 and 3, and the conference room. It is not permitted to stick anything to the walls.
OHPs, a television and DVD, and PowerPoint projector (organisations will need to provide their own laptop with the necessary privileges installed to be able to recognise a projector) can be provided if requested in advance (subject to availability).
A kitchen is available where organisations can make refreshments. The Fund provides tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits for groups to make for themselves as and when they like throughout the day.
The Fund can recommend caterers who are familiar with the premises. Details can be provided of these organisations that cater for various budgets. We cannot however be held responsible for the quality of the catering although all have offered a reasonable service on previous occasions.
There is a disabled WC and disabled access via a platform lift, a passenger lift, and a further platform lift. The maximum dimensions of the Fund's passenger lift are 142cm x 71cm (doors open to 80cm). If a wheelchair user has a particularly large chair, it may be necessary to enter the building via a different route. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
Organisations will be responsible for any necessary furniture shifting to prepare a room at the beginning and return it to its original layout at the end. Users are wholly responsible for reception arrangements and stewardship for meetings and conferences and for providing refreshments and catering as indicated above.
Parking facilities are not available in the immediate neighbourhood, though arrangements can be made for the dropping off and collection of passengers. Please call the Fund for further information.
The Fund cannot provide photocopying facilities, so organisers should please ensure they bring sufficient quantities of any documents or other materials required for the meeting.
Organisations may deliver documents or other paraphernalia the day before an event: please contact us in advance to make the arrangements.
