Lady Sarah McCorquodale (President) is the eldest sister of Diana, Princess of Wales.

Sir Roger Singleton CBE (Chair) retired at the end of 2005 after a 31 year career with Barnardo's, 21 years as Chief Executive. Coinciding with his retirement, he was awarded a knighthood in recognition of services to children. He is former Chairman and Treasurer of the National Council of Voluntary Child Care Organisations and has participated in many working parties and study groups. He has also served on public enquiries into child abuse in children's homes, and is involved in matters of charity governance and management. An accredited Mediator, he has also been involved in dispute resolution within public, commercial and voluntary organisations.

Tahera Aanchawan is a management consultant with experience in health and social care organisations and the voluntary sector. She has extensive links and experience of working with black and minority ethnic communities. Tahera was awarded the Lloyds TSB Asian Jewel Award in 2004 for her services to the Public Sector. She is a founder member of the Afiya Trust, Vice-chair of the Pastoral and Environmental Network in the Horn of Africa, Chair of Naz Project London and Chair of Transform Africa, a capacity building project for community groups in seven African countries.

Terry Hitchcock (Treasurer), previously a stockbroker with Collins Stewart, was the Treasurer of Thames Reach Bondway Housing Association from 1998 to 2005. He has been a Trustee of Research into Ageing and of Help the Aged.

David Isaac is a partner at Pinsent Masons, an international law firm based in London. He has been actively involved in a number of voluntary organisations for many years and is currently Chair of Stonewall and Modern Art Oxford, positions he has held since 2003 and 2000 respectively. He is also the Chair of the Fund's Palliative Care Advisory Group.

Dr Diana Leat is a well respected independent commentator and researcher on the UK and international voluntary sector. She has published extensively on the voluntary sector, foundations and social policy and has been a consultant to various grantmaking foundations reviewing their policies and practices. Diana has held various academic appointments including Visiting Professor at City University Business School and Senior Research Fellow at Deakin University, Australia.

John Whitaker has a background in private sector marketing businesses. He became Deputy Director and Marketing Director of Oxfam GB from 1992 to 2004. He was on the board of the Fairtrade Foundation between 1994 and 2005. He is now a consultant to a number of not-for-profit organisations and holds non-executive positions with organisations including the International Broadcasting Trust, the Ethical Property Company, BUILD (the international linking body) and the Ethical Property Foundation.
